Collaborations


Mr. Sreekumar says most of the companies are based in Malappuram and Kozhikode districts. Many of these have foreign collaboration. The Ipix Solutions and Menon BPO started operations last month is owned by the Morison Menon Group of Companies, a leading professional consultant in United Arab Emirates.

Ipix Solutions is focusing on services such as web development, software development, e-commerce website designing, web maintenance, domain registration and web hosting. The Menon BPO is outsourcing services for bookkeeping, accounting, payroll management, human resource administration and U.S. tax returns.

Mr. Sreekumar says that the Kinfra food park offers all facilities that a food-processing unit needs.

The fully developed land is available for 90-year lease. It has a 33-kv substation with concealed cable network for power supply, round-the-clock water supply from a five million litre daily treatment plant.

The administrative block has earmarked space for a post office, bank and telephone exchange.


Support system


The park has developed a unique support system, which include expert advice on project documentation, market research and technology sourcing. Kinfra has joined hands will leading institutes Central Food Research Laboratories and Defence Food Research Laboratory, Mysore, for the purpose.

Mr. Sreekumar says that Kinfra offers single window clearance facility, which takes care of the various licences and clearances from regulatory bodies, for projects that come up on its premises.

Kinfra has acquired land at strategic locations for the orderly development of industries by balancing social, cultural, regional and ecological requirements. It caters to industry specific infrastructure requirements.

It has successfully developed 17 theme-based industrial parks in the State in the areas such as garments, infotainment, marine, seafood, rubber, exports, food-processing and biotechnology, he says.
